Perhaps you’re reading this and you’re feeling the weight of the world and it's not only tension in your shoulders, but also projecting itself through migraines, sluggishness, insomnia, joint pain or digestive issues. That’s your body’s way of fighting the emotional toll your body is going through due to the pain of your addictions, insecurities, trust issues, undealt trauma or physical illness that is now out of control and debilitating your body. I hope you’re not picturing me wagging my short, cheeto looking fingers at you like your mom or dad once or still do. I’m not getting ready to take off my sandal to discipline you. I am, most certainly, not writing this from a place of perfection or self-righteousness because I was once that one that Jesus left the 99 for to go find and bring back home. You may or may not know where this reference comes from but I’m going to circle back to that. My purpose for this is to point you to a power that’s accessible at all times, a limitless source of hope, a strength perfected in your surrender and a provider, a father, a mother, a best friend all in one.
Some of you may know, others may have heard of him, while others haven't even an inkling of who it is, his name is Jesus. Jesus made man to be living proof of the Word. A Gospel, with no expiration dates, no deadlines, just a timeless invitation to receive a portion of love that will overflow and multiply itself into peace, kindness, forbearance, joy, self-control, goodness, faithfulness and gentleness (Galatians 5:22-23). So is it true that someone would really leave their pack of people to find the one that got lost? There’s a pack of 99 sheep and a Shepherd will leave that herd to go find one that’s missing. Could this be true that the Jesus Christians preach about is like a Shepherd that would come out of his routine to find the one that is deviated? Yes, Matthew 18:12-14 says it so, “What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off? And if he finds it, truly I tell you, he is happier about that one sheep than about the ninety-nine that did not wander off. In the same way your Father in heaven is not willing that any of these little ones should perish”.
You can be 89 pounds lighter and it won't be because of some tedious diet but it'll come from a lifestyle change that's a product of receiving the love of God by accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. But Jackie, “What does that mean?” It means that you’re allowing yourself to believe in a power greater than you that will elevate your faith and will feed your soul by confessing your sins and asking for forgiveness. The key here is to receive the forgiveness to walk in the unmerited grace He offers His children so we can have a relationship, not with religion, but with a living God that died on a cross and rose again. Maybe you feel like you don’t look the part, maybe you feel like you’re not ready because you’re not worthy enough just yet but I challenge you to start the conversation with Jesus himself. Jesus wouldn't have had purpose for coming off his throne and made flesh to walk the earth if it wasn’t to save those who were lost. We would love to connect with you! Don’t give up yet, keep on walking, your rescue team is on their way to shear you, to prune the dead thing so that you can walk freely and live life in the fullness promised to us by God. John 10:10 says, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full”. It’s a promise that isn’t limited to a select few. For those of you who know Jesus, I pray you've been encouraged by this message and that you'll continue to surrender your thoughts to a limitless God that answers prayers. If you're in your journey and feel like you’re wandering off, please ask the Lord to lead you to people who can speak life into you as you share your story. Speak up, and take ownership of what’s holding you back. You can’t have victory over what you disown and remember that sheep were never meant to travel alone...

Esto es lo que nos pasa como seres humanos. Cuando dejamos de visitar a nuestros cuidadores, descuidamos un aspecto esencial para nuestro crecimiento, el amor. Sin aceptar verdaderamente el amor de aquellos que nos cuidan, no es de extrañar por qué es tedioso compartir lo que nos puede faltar o no tener.
Quizás estás leyendo esto y estás sintiendo el peso del mundo y no es sólo tensión en tus hombros, sino que también se proyecta a través de migrañas, lentitud, insomnio, dolores articulares o problemas digestivos. Esa es la forma en que su cuerpo lucha contra el costo emocional que su cuerpo está atravesando debido al dolor de sus adicciones, inseguridades, problemas de confianza, traumas subalternos o enfermedades físicas que ahora están fuera de control y debilitan su cuerpo. Espero que no te imagines que me estoy preparando para quitarme la chancleta para disciplinarte. Ciertamente, no estoy escribiendo esto desde un lugar de perfección o justicia propia porque una vez fui aquel por quien Jesús dejó el 99 para ir a buscar y traer de regreso a casa. Puede que sepas o no de dónde proviene esta referencia, pero volveré a eso. Mi propósito para esto es señalarte a un poder que es accesible en todo momento, una fuente ilimitada de esperanza, una fuerza perfeccionada en su entrega y un proveedor, un padre, una madre, un mejor amigo, todo en uno.
Algunos de ustedes pueden saber, otros pueden haber oído hablar de él, mientras que otros no tienen ni idea de quién es, su nombre es Jesús. Jesús hizo al hombre para ser una prueba viviente de la Palabra. Un Evangelio, sin fechas de vencimiento, sin fechas límite, solamente una invitación eterna a recibir una porción de amor que se desbordara y se multiplicará en alegría, paz, paciencia, amabilidad, bondad, fidelidad, ` humildad y dominio propio (Gálatas 5:22-23). Entonces, ¿es cierto que alguien realmente dejaría su manada de personas para encontrar al que se perdió? Hay una manada de 99 ovejas y un Pastor dejará esa manada para ir a buscar una que falta. ¿Será cierto esto que los cristianos de Jesús predican es como un Pastor que saldría de su rutina para encontrar al que está desviado? Sí, Mateo 18:12-14 lo dice así: “¿Qué les parece? Si un hombre tiene cien ovejas y una de ellas se ha descarriado, ¿no deja las noventa y nueve en los montes, y va en busca de la descarriada? Y si sucede que la haya, en verdad les digo que se regocija más por esta que por las noventa y nueve que no se han descarriado. Así, no es la voluntad del[a] Padre[b] que está en los cielos que se pierda uno de estos pequeñitos.”
Puede pesar 89 libras menos y no será debido a una dieta tediosa, sino que vendrá de un cambio de estilo de vida que es producto de recibir el amor de Dios al aceptar a Jesucristo como su Señor y Salvador. Pero Jackie, "¿Qué significa eso?" Significa que te estás permitiendo creer en un poder más grande que tú mismo, que elevará tu fe y alimentará tu alma al confesar tus pecados y pedir perdón. La clave aquí es recibir el perdón para caminar en la gracia inmerecida que Él ofrece a Sus hijos para que podamos tener una relación, no con la religión, sino con un Dios vivo que murió en una cruz y resucitó. Tal vez sientes que no te ves bien, tal vez sientes que no estás listo porque aún no eres lo suficientemente digno, pero te desafío a que comiences la conversación con Jesús mismo. Jesús no habría tenido un propósito para bajarse de su trono y hacerse carne para caminar sobre la tierra si no fuera por salvar a los que estaban perdidos.

Para aquellos de ustedes que conocen a Jesús, oró para que se sientan animados por este mensaje y que continúen entregando sus pensamientos a un Dios ilimitado que responde a las oraciones. Si estás en tu camino y sientes que te estás alejando, pídele al Señor que te guíe hacia personas que puedan animarte mientras compartes tu historia. Habla y hazte cargo de lo que te detiene. No puedes tener la victoria sobre lo que repudias y recuerda que las ovejas nunca debieron viajar solas …
